For this week’s Weekend Replay we have a show many of our readers have probably not seen: Channel 4′s new quiz show The Common Denominator. In the past we’ve joked that it’s, essentially, the poor man’s Only Connect. You’re given two items (either two words, two pictures, or a picture and a word) and you must find the link. While it is similar they’ve done enough to differentiate the shows. It’s definitely a grower of a show. The more you watch the more you get into it. The show has a massive slump due to bad pacing in the middle but the end game is typically exciting. That’s what we’ll see today.
We’re very excited to feature BuzzerBlog reader Daniel Peake this week. If you remember us discussing it in the past Dan did the entertaining indie game show Accumulate! which you can relive here. He’s also very close to winning a lot of money on The Common Denominator. Dan beat the competition and is just six Common Denominators away from £10,000.
